LeBron James may head toward the Phoenix Suns, claims NBA Scout

After having one of their worst performance this season, many Lakers stars would be considering moving out of the side for a better future outlook.

LeBron James

LeBron James has represented three different franchises namely Cleveland Cavaliers, Miami Heat, and his current side Los Angeles Lakers. With a current record of 3-10 losses, the Lakers surely aren’t having the time of their life leading to many potential transfers.

His current contract with the side is till the 2023-24 season, Phoenix undoubtedly has some top future picks in his side which could be turned to Lakers in possession of James. The only takeaway is that the four-time NBA Champion can’t be traded this season because of his second-year extension deal he has to exceed a 5% raise.

Ric Bucher’s Analysis of LeBron James moving to the Suns

Fox Sports Analyst Ric Bucher has been keeping a closer look on the relationship between LeBron and his trade side Suns, he mentioned

“If the Lakers were to move James, it presumably would be to acquire the treasure trove of future picks they currently lack,” Bucher wrote. “A Western Conference scout pointed to the Phoenix Suns as a far more ideal candidate should they find themselves once again falling short this season in their quest for the franchise’s first championship, after reaching the Finals two years ago and then getting knocked out in a seven-game, second-round series by Luka Doncic and the Dallas Mavericks last year.

“The Suns have a solid core with Chris Paul, Devin Booker and Deandre Ayton, but they may need another piece to get over the hump in the West, especially since they were knocked out in the second round of the playoffs last season.

‘The Suns have proved themselves quite capable of getting close, but I think they need a little bit more if they want to get to where they want,’ the scout said. ‘One more ball handler and playmaker.'”
