In trade news, Cleveland Cavaliers added Donovan Mitchell to the roster with Kevin Love which makes them a playoff contender team.
Cleveland Cavaliers received Donovan Mitchell from Utah Jazz in a blockbuster deal this Thursday.
Woj from ESPN announced on Twitter that Cleveland would send Utah three unprotected first-round picks and two pick swaps in exchange for Mitchell.
There were speculations that Donovan might join New York Knicks or Miami Heat before the tradeline but Utah agreed on a deal sending him to the Cavs.
The Cavaliers traded away Lauri Markkanen, Ochair Agbaji, three unprotected first-round picks with two pick swaps, and point guard and eighth pick of the NBA draft class of 2018, Colin Sexton.
LeBron James’ Reaction to the Donovan Mitchell Trade
LeBron is from Ohio, Cleveland and he showed his excitement over the trade as it can improve the roster of the Cavs. The team is struggling to make the playoffs without LeBron and Donovan can make it possible for local fans to see some postseason action.
Twitter user 73-9 and they lied tweeted, “The Cavs were already fun to watch last season. They have all the pieces to contend now. Garland x Spida is TOUGH! 🍿.” For which LeBron replied, “SO TOUGH!!!!! Super Dope.”
LeBron is also very positive about the trade as the Spida can score and play some quality minutes on the floor. The Cavs are a literal threat in the Eastern Conference.
Mitchell just had a fantastic season. Spida averaged 25.9 points, 5.3 assists, and 4.2 rebounds per game in the previous season.
Lebron’s Days with the Cleveland
LeBron started his career with Cleveland Cavaliers when he was drafted by his home team back in 2003. He was an instant hit in NBA and made it to the finals in the year 2007 against the San Antonio Spurs.
Later after he reunited with the Cavs in 2014 and landed a championship in the year 2018 against Golden State Warriors. He left the Cavs back in 2018 to join the LA Lakers where he won his fourth ring.
Along with one ring, LeBron won his first MVP with the Cavs back in 2009 when he averaged 28.4 points per game.
