LeBron James recently broke a (stat) record held by Karl Malone and he seems to be quite happy with the achievement

LeBron James recently broke the record for most 20-point games during the regular season and seemed quite happy about it. In a recent game, James had his 1135th regular season 20-point game to go past Karl Malone’s 1134. James took to social media and shared the achievement in an Instagram post.

The Instagram post showed the top 10 leaders in regular season 20-point games with LeBron James at the top. James captioned the image saying that the achievement was not bad for a pass-first guy.

This may seem like an absurd statement for someone that averages more than 25 points per game, but it’s true. Over the years LeBron James has established himself as an elite playmaker who creates chances for his teammates. James has averaged 7.4 assists per game over his 20-year NBA career.

This makes the achievement even more incredible with James sharing the ball and playing alongside other superstars. This LeBron James stat record is even more impressive when you take into account who he’s played with. James has played with scoring players such as Dwyane Wade, Chris Bosh, Kyrie Irving and Anthony Davis during his career.

Will LeBron James’ individual success lead to the Lakers making the playoffs?

For the Los Angeles Lakers to make the playoffs this season, they will need Anthony Davis to stay healthy. In addition to this, the Lakers have to start making some 3-pointers.

The Lakers have been great defensively under new Head Coach Darvin Ham but the 3-point shooting is not there. If the team can shoot 30% or more from 3-point range they can win more games.

It will be a difficult path for the Lakers but after getting their first win this season, it’s looking better. The Lakers can make the playoffs if the team works together, shoot better and play intense defense.
