LeBron James was soundly booed by fans while he was attending the recently held Super Bowl LVI this past Sunday.
The most recent edition of the Super Bowl was held this past Sunday, as the Kansas City Chiefs went up against the Philadelphia Eagles. It was the Kansas City Chiefs who came out on top against the Philadelphia Eagles who put up a valiant fight at the University of Phoenix Stadium in Glendale, but could not make a telling difference as the Chiefs won the NFL title by 38-35.
The match which is treated as America’s biggest annual sporting spectacle attracts stars and celebrities from all fields to be in attendance, so it was not surprising to see stars like Jay-Z, A$AP Rocky, Adele, Bradley Cooper, Paul McCartney, Kevin Hart, Shaquille O’Neal, Gordon Ramsay, Lil Uzi Vert, Cardi B and more while Rihanna performed at the half time show.
However, no other celebrity from another industry got the reception that a certain LeBron James did. The Los Angeles Lakers superstar who recently created NBA history by becoming the all-time record scorer in the history of the competition, chose to be in attendance for the Super Bowl LVI alongside his family – however, he did not quite receive the reception of a sporting legend.
As it turns out, LeBron’s reception at the Super Bowl LVI certainly did not pan out as he expected.
James, the newly anointed all-time NBA scoring leader, was reportedly booed when he appeared on the big screen at State Farm Stadium during the Chiefs’ victory over the Eagles. As the clip from the game shows, LeBron was shown on the big screen sitting with his wife Savannah – but the audience did not respond very politely as they were met with a rousing rendition of boos.
As a response to the boos, “King James” chose to whip out an imaginary crown and coronate himself – which seemed to catch even more flak from the crowd in attendance.
