There are no two ways in stating that LeBron James will always be known as the ‘true’ King of NBA, especially when he has spent 20 years of his professional career being the face of the league. But it is never a good idea to proclaim yourself as one. To make matters visible? Doing so on an away court is perhaps the worst idea.
As the Los Angeles Lakers made their way to Sacramento to lock horns against the Kings in their next showdown, LeBron James posted a picture on his Instagram before the game. While his die-hard fans were impressed by his work ethics, majority spotted how the 37-year-old crossed out the letter ‘S’ from Kings to make his presence felt.
As much as the credit goes to Bron for putting the hard work up for years, he shouldn’t have done that. Moreover, NBA Twitter spent hours just to remind the same to LeBron on social media as the post went viral. What’s worse? LeBron and his team even came up short against the Kings.
Although LeBron James fought hard against an in-form and fast paced Kings’ offense, yet there was no support to back him up on the offensive end. His double-double of 31 points and 11 assists when in vain as the purple and gold suffered their 18th loss of the season already.
On the same note, take a look at how NBA Twitter mocked the 4-time Champion for his social media antics.
Both Anthony Davis and Russell Westbrook were out of this context, and their absence could have been blatantly felt in the latter quarters. Will there be a chance in the outcome when Lakers lock horns against the Charlotte Hornets (8-23) next? Remains to be seen.
