LeBron James has urged new Twitter owner Elon Musk to act up after the app recorded a 500% rise in N-word usage since Musk took over. The Los Angeles Lakers superstar took to his Twitter account to write his demands after the billionaire’s Twitter takeover that has seen reset community guidelines has now seen an unprecedented rise in use of the N-word.

It has been observed that Elon Musk’s Twitter takeover has sparked a surge in the N’s use-word on the social media platform. A social media research group told The Washington Post the use of the slur increased by nearly 500% – courtesy of the more lenient community guidelines and Twitter trolls testing the limits of the app’s newly established rules and regulations.

Upon the sudden and unprecedented rise in usage of the derogatory slur, LeBron James took to his official Twitter account to write about his grievances. Writing on his official Twitter account, the NBA legend said that even though he does not know Musk personally and even though he does not care who owns Twitter – the rise in hate speech is “scary” and should be dealt with.

The Los Angeles Lakers superstar took to his Twitter to explain his thoughts about the rise in N-word usage on the app.

Quoting an article from the Washington Post, LeBron wrote: “I don’t know Elon Musk and, tbh, I could care less who owns Twitter. But I will say that if this is true, I hope he and his people take this very seriously because this is scary AF. So many damn unfit people saying hate speech is free speech.
