LeBron James vaccination status: Is the Lakers player vaccinated from Covid-19?
The NBA 2021-22 season starts in under 20 days from now. And although it is not mandatory for all the players to get vaccinated the players are always questioned about their vaccination status. Many players across the league have decided not to get vaccinated as it is their personal preference.
But LeBron James is not amongst those players. The LA Lakers star is aware of the fact that vaccination is important. In fact each and every single one on the Lakers roster has been vaccinated. There were rumors initially that James has not been vaccinated over Covid-19.
However, the rumors were put to rest when he disclosed that he was a bit skeptical at the beginning but later decided that it was the right decision. James wanted to make sure that he stays healthy for his family and teammates.
Unlike last year when the Lakers’ title defense was hampered by frequent injuries to it’s top stars. Both James and Anthony Davis missed games frequently due to injury troubles.
Davis was absent more frequently than he would’ve liked during the past 2 seasons. During the Lakers’ media day Davis revealed (h/t NBA):
“I didn’t feel comfortable missing that many games,” Davis said. “Not being able to play at full strength in the playoffs against Phoenix … that didn’t sit well with me. I made an emphasis on taking care of my body, getting my body back to what it was strength-wise my first year here.”
Davis has claimed that he has taken necessary steps to get his body back in shape to the level it requires to be. Hopefully we will see Davis in full form this season.
