Boston side which made their way into the finals last season would hope to turn up their positions from the runners-up to the Champions this time. Within the limelight of Jaylen Brown and Jayson Tatum, the Celtic side no doubt seemed to be tough competition last year. The star team has now added Griffins who have been a part of the NBA All-Stars team 6 times to increase their bench strength.
Boston held their NBA title in 2008 under the guidance of Doc Rivers, which came after 22 years, three major reasons that stood in their favour were Kevin Garnett, Paul Pierce, and Ray Allen who led their team to beat the Lakers in the year’s finals, the team would now be looking for the same combination again.
In his debut season, Griffin was selected in All-Stars games, won the NBA Slam Dunk Contest along with being named the NBA Rookie of the season. Since 2009 he has made his way into 3 different NBA Franchises with the Clippers being his favourite one where he stayed from 2009 to 2018 before being traded to Detroit Pistons and then finally to the Nets side in 2021.
