Luka Doncic has just registered himself in NBA history alongside former MVP James Harden after dropping an emphatic 60-point triple double against the New York Knicks. Stretching his team’s winning tally to 4 games, 3 games above .500, the Slovenian International not only sent the game to OT with a remarkable jumper but even closed the deal with a 60-point maestro.

To be precise, Doncic registered 60 points, 21 rebounds and 10 assists in a 126-121 thriller on Tuesday night at the American Airlines Arena. This was the first time NBA fans saw a player drop a 60-point triple double after Philadelphia 76ers marquee James Harden (at that time he was a member of Houston Rockets).

The Beard dropped the same on January 30, 2018. When Harden dropped his 60-point triple-double, he led his Rockets to the victory line over the Orlando Magic 114-107.

Just like Doncic, Harden scored 18 points in the fourth quarter. The Slovenian International dropped an electrifying game-equalizing jumper, previous Harden broke the franchise’s single-game scoring record — set by Calvin Murphy (57) in 1978.

“I was just kind of a little bit lucky there,” Doncic said as per MSN. “[I had] two steals, one block, five offensive rebounds, and a jump ball, too. I don’t know, man. I’m just enjoying the sport.”

That being said, keeping James Harden aside for the time being, Luka Doncic added 21 rebounds and 10 assists, becoming the first player in NBA history with a triple-double featuring at least 60 points and 20 rebounds.
