Magic Johnson ‘knelt down’ to pray for NFL standout Damar Hamlin
Magic Johnson wishes for ‘Critical’ Damar Hamlin with LeBron James, Dick Vitale, and NFL world for his speedy recovery. When Buffalo Bills player Damar Hamlin fell during a game against the Cincinnati Bengals, tragedy gripped the NFL world. The 24-year-old Bills safety went into cardiac arrest during the first quarter of the game on Monday night. This occurred immediately after Hamlin collided with Bengals wide receiver Tee Higgins. Medical personnel went to Hamlin and did CPR for nearly 10 minutes.
Following that, Hamlin was brought in an ambulance to the University of Cincinnati Medical Center. Following the tragic occurrence, sportsmen and fans from all over the world voiced their sympathy and hoped for the NFL star’s quick recovery.

On Tuesday, Hamlin’s family released a press release thanking everyone for their overwhelming support and requesting that fans remember Hamlin in their thoughts and prayers. The whole sports community, including NBA superstar Magic Johnson, is hoping for a swift recovery for Bills player Damar Hamlin. The former Los Angeles Lakers star, Johnson recently posted on Twitter that he was praying for Hamlin, “Last night I dropped down to my knees and prayed for Damar Hamlin and his family. Still praying that he makes a full recovery.”
NBA star LeBron James has also been praying and shared a short clip of Damar Hamlin writing, “Praying for you kid!!!”. Former head coach and basketball sportscaster Dick Vitale expressed his worries on Twitter and asked supporters to pray in Hamlin’s honour.
The players apparently had five minutes to warm up just before game resumed shortly after the incident, during which Damar Hamlin was taken by ambulance. Nonetheless, the head coaches of the Cincinnati Bengals and Buffalo Bills chose to send the players back to the locker rooms, according to sportscaster Joe Buck.
