Marcus Smart returned to Boston’s lineup and the team blew out Miami to level up the series in the Eastern Conference Finals.
The Boston Celtics defeated the Miami Heat in a dominant manner by a score of 127-102 and leveled up the series 1-1. This was a big win for Boston as they have taken a game at the home court of Miami, and now they are in the driving seat for the rest of the series.
This win for Boston was inspired by the return of Al Horford and especially Marcus Smart, both of whom missed the first game of the series. Marcus Smart’s presence was immense for the Celtics on both ends. Smart scored 24 points, 9 rebounds, and 12 assists, in what was his one of the best performances of the season.
Jayson Tatum and Jaylen Brown continued their good form as they scored 27 and 24 points each, and Boston destroyed and shocked Miami in front of their own fans, and made a statement.
The focus now shifts onto Boston, where the next two games will be played, and the Celtics will have a chance of getting a 3-1 lead in the series, which will be difficult for Miami to overcome.
Jimmy Butler once again shines but his effort wasn’t enough
Jimmy Butler has played like the best player in these playoffs. He has shown the world that despite his struggles in the regular season, he can be the main man for his team when it comes to playoffs.
In a disappointing loss in Game 2, Butler ended up with 29 points in just 32 minutes and continued his good form in the playoffs. However, he and his team will look to bounce back quickly and get a win in Boston against the Celtics if they want to save their season. Even though the Celtics have gained an advantage in the series, the result can go either way as both these teams are quite good away from home as well.
