Miami Heat edged closer to the Eastern Conference Finals after winning game 5 by 25 points.
The Miami Heat destroyed the Philadelphia 76ers in game 5 of their ongoing series in the Eastern Conference Semi-Finals. They won the game by a score of 110-85 and took a 3-2 lead in the series.
This win has put Miami into the front seat to qualify for the next round. They just need to win one game out of the next two, and the 76ers will be under a lot of pressure heading into game 6 at their home court.
Jimmy Butler once again led the way for Miami as he scored 23 points, and had a great all-around game in Miami. He has quite arguably been the best player in the NBA in these playoffs, and he will be ready for the next games as well to close out his former team.
The Miami team was rejuvenated again in front of their home crowd and absolutely dismantled the 76ers, who were coming into this game after two straight wins back in Philly.
James Harden continued to struggle in Miami
Harden had a great performance in game 4 back in Philly, and he was expected to carry that form into this game. However, that didn’t go according to the plan, as he once again struggled while playing in Miami. He was able to score just 14 points.
Apart from him, other Philly players also had a terrible game, as Embiid ended up with just 17 points, and they were not able to score against the resilient Miami defense. The 76ers need to bounce back quickly in game 6 back home, else they’ll be out of the playoffs.
