Miles Bridges is one of the most noticeable free agents on the market right now. From being a talented, skilled and promising forward who was known to viciously dunk the ball and combine ever-so-well with LaMelo Ball in the latter third of the court, has now been sidelined due to pending domestic violence charges.
With the free agency being days away, Miles was allegedly involved in domestic violence activities against his former girlfriend and mother of their two children. Even though the former Hornets young forward avoided jail time, the league and Adam Silver in particular are expected to slap the ‘culprit’ with a hefty and lengthy ban.
Given that such rumors are swirling in and around the league, NBA Analyst and Insider Adrian Woj. revealed how Michael Jordan owned Charlotte Hornets are in deep talks of offering Miles Bridges a new contract as he was already expected to signs a mega deal if it wasn’t for his domestic violence charges.
Miles Bridges Contract: Will Hornets be making the move to trigger NBA’s response?
“The Charlotte Hornets and restricted free agent forward Miles Bridges are gathering traction in talks on a new deal, and optimism exists that an agreement could come in the relative near future, sources told ESPN on Friday,” wrote Woj, discussing the same matter.
The 24-year-old’s absence is being felt by the Charlotte Hornets in their depleted 2022-23 campaign. Being one of the most promising teams during the start of the previous seasons, have only gone onto win 9 games, ranking 14th in the Eastern Conference Standings.
