The NBA All-Star weekend is an incredible occasion simply because it features the biggest stars in the competition all coming together in the same arena at the same time. However, the All-Star weekend does not simply host an All-Star Game – but it also hosts several other contests such as the 3 Point Contest, the Skills Challenge as well as the much-awaited Slam Dunk Contest.

The All-Star weekend tipped off last night with three jam-packed days of action in Salt Lake City. While the first day of action at the Vivint Arena in Utah saw the Rising Stars game, there is a lot more to follow on Saturday as we build up to the All-Star game on Sunday.

What do you need to know about the NBA All-star Saturday night?

The All-Star Saturday night will be held on Saturday, February 18th, 2023 from 5 pm and will be broadcasted on TNT. The event will have contests like the 3-Point Contest, the Skills Challenge and the Slam Dunk Contest.

The Kia Skills Challenge is always exciting, with NBA stars displaying passing, shooting and dribbling as they work their way through an obstacle course. There will be three teams – the Antetokounmpo brothers, Team Jazz and Team Rookies as they look to win it all.

The Three-Point Contest will feature several of the best sharpshooters in the league. While Steph Curry and Klay Thompson have dominated the contest previously, with the Warriors missing this one – keep an eye on Portland Trail Blazers guard Damien Lillard, who competes in this year’s contest looking to win. Lillard will be joined by Tyler Herro, Tyrese Haliburton, Buddy Hield, Kevin Huerter, Lauri Markkanen, Julius Randle and Jayson Tatum.

The Slam Dunk contest will feature some of the best jammers in the league, and has four participants this year – namely, Kenyon Martin Jr, Trey Murphy III, Jericho Sims and Mac McClung.

The NBA All-Star Saturday will be followed by the All-Star draft and game on Sunday.
