Anthony Davis continued his impressive run of form as he dominated the San Antonio Spurs and led the Los Angeles Lakers to their third straight win. Against the Spurs, AD scored 30 points while recording 18 rebounds.

The Lakers defeated the Spurs 123-92 and are now 5-10. They were still without the services of LeBron James but even without him, the Lakers could blow out the young Spurs team.

AD has completely taken over for the Lakers in LeBron James’ absence, and that has been a positive sign for the team. Last season, James played at an MVP level but didn’t receive help from his teammates but this time around, he has got help.

Speaking about LeBron James, Anthony Davis said, “Obviously when he’s out, or if I’m out, we take it upon ourselves to kind of, as much as we can, fill that void.” He added, “We haven’t talked about it, but he did say that I’m playing like my old self, so I’m trying to get back into that rhythm.”

The Lakers are currently on a three-game winning streak but now they will face the Phoenix Suns next up and that is going to be a tough game for them. Hopefully, LeBron James will be back by then to help Anthony Davis.

The Lakers will now play one of the top teams in the NBA, the Phoenix Suns, on the road on Tuesday. The game is scheduled to take place in Phoenix. It signals the beginning of a difficult run for the Lakers, during which 16 of their next 22 games will be played away from their home in Los Angeles.

Speaking about the team’s spirit ahead of facing the Phoenix Suns, AD said, “I think everybody’s confidence is very high, while not getting too high, Going into Phoenix to start the trip will be a good test for us. But like I said, I think the guys’ confidence is high on both ends of the ball going into that game.”

He added, “We want to start the road trip off with a W. Then, San Antonio back-to-back. So, it feels good to get three in a row. Now we just got to carry it over into the road and put some more wins together.”

The Phoenix Suns are likely to be without Chris Paul and Cam Johnson for the game against the Lakers and it is very likely that the Lakers will get LeBron James back for this game. This will give them a great opportunity to put up a win against a very good team, and that will help them gain respect of others and will also boost the confidence of the team.
