Shaq had some words of praise for Ja Morant after another dominant display against the New Orleans Pelicans.
Ja Morant of the Memphis Grizzlies is off to a great start this season and had a sensational game against the New Orleans Pelicans. Although the Grizzlies lost the game, Ja Morant ended up scoring 36 points and had 8 rebounds and 4 assists as well.
NBA Legend Shaq was left in full awe of Ja Morant and he believes that the Grizzlies star will become the best player in the world in the coming future. Shaq usually doesn’t praise many players like this and it was a huge compliment for Morant.
Talking about Ja Morant, Shaq said, “I love Ja Morant. I want to give him props. He’s the new age, the new day, Allen Iverson. He’s not the best player in the world now. I’m not saying that disrespectfully, but in two to three years, he will be the best player in the world.“
He added, “He lets veterans know, he’s coming. He plays with reckless abandonment, loves to talk trash, doesn’t care. He can shoot the three, loves to put on a show for the fans.”
Ja Morant is expected to be in the mix for the MVP award if the Grizzlies again have a great record in the regular season. He has averaged 29.3 points, 6.8 assists, and 6.2 rebounds in 13 games this season.
