NBA Insider Shams Charania has further updates on the Lonzo Ball Injury and there seems to be a rayof hope for the Chicago Bulls

Lonzo Ball is injured and might have to sit out the entire 2022-23 NBA season to recover. But Shams Charania recently reported that the Chicago Bulls are optimistic about their starting point guard.

The Bulls management believes that Ball might heal in time to play the second half of the season. If not, this Lonzo Ball injury will seriously hamper the Chicago Bulls playoff aspirations.

Lonzo Ball had surgery in January for a small tear in his meniscus. Recovery seemed to go well but Ball recently had another surgery to further the recovery process. This surgery was the third that Lonzo has had on his left knee.

Ball missed the second half of the 2021-22 NBA season and the Chicago Bulls suffered without their starting point guard. The Bulls will hope that Ball makes it back soon to help their chances of making the playoffs. Lonzo Ball has developed into a very good starting point guard with his defense, passing and 3-point shooting.

Who will step up while Lonzo Ball is out with injury?

Ayo Dosunmu will probably be the starting point guard this season with Goran Dragic and Alex Caruso backing him up. Dosunmu averaged 8.8 points, 2.2 rebounds and 3.8 assists per game in 27 minutes per game of playing time. Teammates and coaches expect Ayo to take a big leap this season.
