NBA legend Shaquille O’Neal has called out fans and told them to “mind their own business” after they called out Draymond Green over the punch on Jordan Poole.
The Draymond Green and Jordan Poole incident has been the talk of the town all off season in the NBA. Reports of the infamous altercation between Draymond Green and Jordan Poole has plagued the Golden State Warriors’ preparations for the new season where they will have to defend their Championship in a practice session that has since been a trending topic.
It all started with reports of the altercation being out in the public out of nowhere, that the pair had been in a bust up that required the whole team and backroom staff to intervene. Soon after, the incident footage leaked and it showed that Green struck Poole forcibly following a war of words.
Though since then Green has apologized, the damage has been done. The whole NBA community – from former players, analysts to fans – has been weighing in on the situation. The latest to do so is none other than Shaquille O’Neal, who, for a change has defended Green from all the flak that he has received since the incident.
What did Shaquille O’Neal have to say about the altercation?
Shaq called out the fans slating Green because of their lack of knowledge of how the NBA works at the highest level and asked them to simply – “be fans.”
Speaking on The Big Podcast with Nischelle Turner and Spice Adams, Shaq told fans to “mind their own business” and “shut the hell up” after they called out Green over the infamous bust up.
Shaq said: “All you people messing with Draymond [Green]: Mind your damn business… You guys that don’t know anything about competitive sports, you have no idea what you’re talking about. So just shut the hell up & be a fan… This happens all the time.”
