Following the demise of Ernie Johnson’s mother, NBA on TNT airs an emotional tribute 

NBA on TNT paid tribute to Lois Marjorie Johnson, the mother of adored presenter Ernie Johnson, on Thursday night. This week, Lois passed away at the age of 94. Ernie took a break from the studio floor after she passed away to spend time with his family, as he ought to.

On Thursday night, followers expressed their condolences to the Johnson family on social media. One user commented, “Prayers to Ernie Johnson and his family on the passing of his mother, Lois Marjorie Johnson.”

Ernie Johnson missed the NBA on TNT show on Thursday since his mother Lois Marjorie Johnson died recently. On January 19, the sportscaster was expected to comment on the games between the Golden State Warriors and the Boston Celtics as well as the Brooklyn Nets and the Phoenix Suns, but he wasn’t able to do that due to the circumstances.

Due to his 30-year tenure on the show Inside The NBA, Ernie Johnson, an American sports commentator, has earned recognition on television screens. Since 1990, he has hosted the programme, which has included a number of famous people and NBA players, including Shaquille O’Neal, Charles Barkley, and others.

Michael Johnson, who had been diagnosed with Duchenne muscular dystrophy at the age of 33, passed away in October of 2021, leaving his father Ernie Johnson without a son. Ernie and his wife Cheryl adopted Michael in May 1991, and Michael was aware of his medical condition.

As the mother of three children passed away, Ernie Johnson took time off to be with his grieving family. TNT also prayed for Ernie and his entire family during a two-minute homage to Lois and memory of her life.
