It is hard to imagine a Golden State Warriors side without Klay Thompson and Stephen Curry running the show for them. Although, one would argue that ever since the former splash brother has returned from his Archilles injury in the 2021-22 season, he hasn’t been quite the same on the offensive end of the court.
The five-time All-Star might not be the leading scorers of his side, but his importance is immense for Steve Kerr’s side. However, latest news circulating in the NBA trade Mill suggests how the 32-year-old Shooting Guard could end his partnership with Stephen Curry only to join LeBron James, Lakers.
But first let’s bring everyone on the same page, Klay Thompson is under contact with the Dubs until 2024. On the same note, an anonymous Western Conference executive recently revealed the possibility of Thompson finally featuring for a different franchise.
Klay Thompson has ties with both Los Angeles Lakers and Portland Trail Blazers, but his loyalty to the Warriors goes beyond words. However, take a look at what the anonymous NBA executive told upon Klay Thompson divorcing Stephen Curry in the upcoming seasons.
“He could consider it,” the executive told Sean Deveney of Heavy Sport. “You know, he grew up with his dad as a player, mostly for the Lakers, so they’re a team he could look to leave for. And he grew up near Portland, so the Blazers, there has been talk he wants to play for them.”
