After a tense situation involving Damar Hamlin, Shannon Sharpe writes on Twitter, “NFL doesn’t have a manual on how to proceed”

After receiving criticism from fans for his insulting tweet during Monday night’s game between the Buffalo Bills and Cincinnati Bengals, NFL analyst Skip Bayless was obliged to issue a grovelling apology. Damar Hamlin, a standout for the Bills, experienced a heart attack on the field and is still in serious condition and Shannon Sharpe seemed to respond to Bayless’ statement on Twitter shortly after the event.

Shannon Sharpe in his tweet said, ” Please keep Damar Hamlin and his family in your thoughts and prayers. NFL doesn’t have a manual on how to proceed after an incident like this.”

In the first quarter, the Bengals were up 7-3 and the game was finally called off and postponed. Additionally, Bayless queried how the NFL intended to handle the synchronization of the rescheduled game. Bayless immediately expressed regret over the post, stating: “Nothing is more important than that young man’s health. That was the point of my last tweet. I’m sorry if that was misunderstood but his health is all that matters.”
