Steph Curry is set to interview his mother over her new memoir.
The Golden State Warriors superstar will turn interviewer to his mother Sonya Curry as she is set to release her personal memoir titled “Fierce Love”, which is a personal memoir documenting how she raised her sons Steph and Seth Curry – and hit the stores earlier this year in May.
Subtitled “A Memoir of Family, Faith, and Purpose,” the book explores Sonya’s time raising her family, her passion for education, and how her faith has steadied her during life’s most difficult moments. The book was published by the renowned publishing group HarperOne.
“Curry tells her story for the first time in Fierce Love, beginning with her childhood in rural Virginia and moving through the peaks and valleys of an incredible life — from raising her immensely gifted but sometimes headstrong children, to becoming an educator and founding a Montessori school, to discovering a profound, life-sustaining spiritual connection to her faith,” reads the book description.
The standalone memoir has done well in stores since it came out in May, but now the interview is likely to throw more light onto the events showcased in the book.
What did Curry have to say about himself interviewing his mother?
Steph Curry seemed excited to interview his mother for her new memoir.
Tweeting from his official Twitter account, Curry said: “Such a fun night w/ the fam!! Not too often you get to interview your mom about her new memoir. Thank you @literati for giving us the platform to discuss Fierce Love… F.O.E. Stay tuned for the full convo!!”
The memoir is certainly an interesting read that documents how Sonya brought up with sons Steph, 34, and Seth, 31, and their sister Sydell Curry-Lee, 27, with former NBA player Dell Curry (with whom she divorced last year after 33 years of being married), and how she helped the pair of brothers grow up into professional NBA players.
The interview will also certainly throw light onto the childhood of one of the best players in the game of basketball right now, and possibly one of the absolute greats of all time.
