OVO collab with the NBA for upcoming fall/winter collection
Drake has been making some big moves lately be it with his latest album or collaboration with NBA. Drake himself is a big NBA and Basketball fan. He is even the global ambassador of his hometown team the Toronto Raptors.
Drake’s brand OVO has just unveiled their latest collaboration with NBA. The products from this collaboration is set to drop with the OVO’s upcoming fall and winter collection.
Rapper Bobby Shmurda was revealed as the face of the campaign along with another rapper Chief Keef. Shmurda was seen showcasing some of the New York Knicks items like the hat and also a varsity jacket.
Chief Keef was seen repping the Chicago Bulls themed items similar to that of Shmurda like the hat and also a varsity jacket. The Collaboration however, will include track pants, jackets and hats. Drake later also shared Shmurda’s campaign pictures on his Instagram.
OVO X NBA is not the first time the league has collaborated with an artist or it’s brand. NBA are big in marketing and they do regular collabs to expand their reach. Most notable of them all was with DJ Khaled. His initial collab with NBA came back in 2016. NBA came out with several T-shirts partnering with DJ Khaled.
Another DJ Khaled collab came in 2020 exclusively with the Miami Heat. The jersey also featured a redesigned Miami Heat logo. The jersey was also released as a limited edition product.
