The No. 1 overall pick in the 2022 NBA Draft, Paolo Banchero, led his team to a win in their debut in the summer league against the Rockets.

Two of the brightest stars of this year’s draft Paolo Banchero and Jabari Smith went against each other in their first game for their teams. No. 1 overall pick Paolo was able to get the job done against the Houston Rockets.

Paolo, who played for Duke had a great outing in his first game for the Orlando Magic. He looked confident from the beginning and took the game over. As a result, his team never left the foot off the peddle and emerged victorious.

Paolo Banchero scored 17 points, had 4 rebounds, and also recorded 6 assists. It was a great overall game for Banchero, who is looking ready for the NBA. Hopefully, he’ll be able to perform like this once the regular season starts.

Jabari Smith didn’t have the best of games against Paolo Banchero and the Orlando Magic

Jabari Smith was widely considered the No. 1 overall pick heading into the draft. However, shockingly, he fell down to 3rd place, and the Rockets were able to get him.

Jabari has a lot of potential in him, and many see him as the best overall prospect in this draft class. However, he didn’t have the best of starts in the Summer League, as he didn’t get going from the start.

He ended up scoring 10 points and having 7 rebounds with 3 assists. It was just a summer league game, and hopefully, Jabari Smith will bounce back from here and show the world why he was considered the best prospect in this draft class.
