Patrick Beverley responded after Skip Bayless claimed that Russell Westbrook would be Lakers star’s worst enemy.

Patrick Beverley Russell Westbrook

One of the most talked about points of Beverley’s trade to the Lakers has been how he would gel in with Russell Westbrook.

The pair have shared a rivalry that dates back to nearly a decade, and the pair of them together in the dressing room has excited the NBA community to speculate on the dressing room atmosphere at the Lakers.

The latest of the speculation has come from NBA Analyst Skip Bayless, who has gone on to say that Russell Westbrook will be Beverley’s worst enemy at his new franchise.

Initially touted to be offloaded this summer, Westbrook will now be staying for the season at the Lakers – and it seems like the pair are in talks to squash their beef in the recently started Lakers’ pre-season training camp.

However, Skip thinks that the reparation talks are futile as Westbrook will definitely be Beverley’s worst enemy in the Lakers dressing room if the latter ends up taking the former’s playing minutes. The NBA analyst took to Twitter to say that “PatBev will do everything in his professional power to make it work with Russ.

But – despite the show Westbrook put on today as PatBev was introduced to the media – he will once again PB’s worst enemy if PB starts taking Russ’ minutes. Russ is about Russ, not winning.” The tweet sparked plenty of reactions, and it was only a matter of time until Beverley himself replied to the tweet.

What did Patrick Beverley reply to the tweet?

Beverley’s reply to the tweet was an interesting one to say the very least.

Replying to Bayless’ tweet, Beverley said: “Naw Skip I have a good feeling about this” – showing that the pair have decided to put their past troubles behind to help push the Los Angeles Lakers to the NBA Championship this season.

Regardless, it will certainly be interesting to see how the Lakers dressing room shapes up and how Westbrook will react once the new acquisition takes up his minutes – an enticing season surely awaits us.
