Damian Lillard is currently on the verge of putting up the best numbers in an NBA season. However, the Portland Trail Blazers haven’t been able to hold a strong position for Lillard to be recognized for his performances. They are currently not even in the Play-In Tournament ranks.

Lillard is the leading scorer for the Portland Trail Blazers organization, yet he is nowhere near achieving his dream – to win the championship with his beloved Trail Blazers. This is just why Paul Pierce named a perfect destination for Dame Time as we approach the 2023 trade deadline.

The Boston Celtics legend and former 2008 NBA Champion, Paul Pierce further explained that Damian Lillard joining the 76ers will not only take pressure off of Joel Embiid but also James Harden. To be honest, a Big 3 of Lillard, Harden, and Embiid seems too good to be true.

Pierce said, “I think Philly is realistic. You throw in some draft picks, if they got some. You throw in some young talent like Maxey and Tobias Harris, to get the salaries.”

If the Trail Blazers were to give up on Lillard, the marquee scorer would be looking for a championship-ready team. And who knows maybe Lillard might achieve his ideal dream with another team much sooner if he parts ways with Trail Blazer.
