Perkins targets Chris Paul and the Suns on going after Zion Williamson following his incredible 360 dunk
Friday night’s game between the Suns and New Orleans Pelicans turned out to be a little controversial when the young star Zion Williamson turned on Chris Paul after his 360 dunk.
There were a lot of words exchanged between the players of both sides when Zion showed his 360 dunks in the dying seconds of the match. Former NBA Champion and currently working as a sports analyst with ESPN, Kendrick Perkins stood in favor of 2019 NBA round 1, first pick.
He stated “I don’t know why the hell CP3 and his teammates are mad at Zion’s nasty 360 windmills for, be mad about the other 136 points you gave up! Carry on…”
Zion Williamson realized his game-ending 360 dunk was too much for the Suns and apologized after the match mentioning, ”That was a little out of character for me.”
He further continued ”I got carried away a little bit. I admit that” Williamson said. ”But I was in that locker room when my brothers were down because the Suns sent us home (from the playoffs) last year. That’s a tough moment to be a part of. So, at that moment got carried away. I admit that.”
Cameroon Payne, Phoenix guard explained the reaction of the Suns’ side to his dunk ”There was just no sportsmanship and we don’t really like that,” Payne said. ”We do the right thing. I felt like they should’ve done the right thing and they didn’t. We didn’t take it well.”
New Orleans is currently standing at the Top of the Western Conference and Southern Division, Zion has been the main centre of the side being the top point scorer for his side on multiple occasions and would be hoping to continue it.
