PJ Tucker will be playing alongside James Harden once again as he commits to his future with the Philadelphia 76ers.

P.J. Tucker and the Philadelphia 76ers have come to terms on a three-year, $33.2 million deal. Over the course of his 11-year career, he has averaged 7.1 points, 5.6 rebounds, and 1.1 steals per game. He’ll be a valuable addition to this 76ers team, as he will provide toughness to their team.

Tucker, who is 37 years old, was traded from the Houston Rockets in March 2021 and later played for the Milwaukee Bucks, who won the 2020–21 NBA championship. In the offseason of 2021, he would eventually join the Miami Heat.

Last season PJ Tucker went to the Eastern Conference Finals with the Miami Heat. He will hope to go further ahead with the 76ers, and repeat his heroics of the 2020/2021 season with the Milwaukee Bucks.

According to Shams Charania of the Athletic: Free agent PJ Tucker is finalizing a three-year, $33.2 million fully guaranteed deal with the Philadelphia 76ers, his agent Andre Buck (@andrebuck14) told @TheAthletic @Stadium.

How did the Philadelphia 76ers afford PJ Tucker?

The Philadelphia 76ers have numerous star players on their roster. As a result, it was difficult for them to sign a player like PJ Tucker on a long deal.

This became possible only because of James Harden. He opted out of his player option because he wants to reconstruct his contract with less money so that the 76ers can add more pieces to their team to win the championship.
