Harris invited her hometown side back to the White House for the first time in seven years, and the Warriors squad as well as the head coach Steve Kerr along with the backroom staff visited the residence of the President. Stephen Curry and his teammates were met there by President Joe Biden who addressed the audience and lauded the Warriors for their contributions to society.

The President commended Kerr and his players for their support of voting rights and stances against racism and gun violence. Curry later spoke of the team’s connection to Biden, drawing a line between its roots in Philadelphia and the President’s origins in Scranton. He presented the President and Vice President with jerseys, giving Biden a No. 46 and Harris a No. 1 jersey.

However, the interaction between Biden and the players that went viral on social media platforms was when Biden made a hilarious quip about the NBA Championship rings.
