Kevin Durant’s shoe KD 15 Beginnings was released this year with lighter weight and added style – here is everything you should know about its release date
Kevin Durant is one of the best players in the NBA right now. Everything he does off the floor also makes headlines, from shoes to practice to his market moves, he keeps up to stay in the news every time.
The Nike KD 15, which was introduced in the last week of June 2022, returned to a lower cut design while retaining the intricate weave patterns that covered the breathable mesh upper.
Players wearing KD 15 can move a little bit quicker because of the shoe’s reduced weight compared to the previous models.
On June 25, 2022, the shoe company unveiled a brand-new “Border Blue- Aura” variation of the highly wanted silhouette known as “Beginnings.” Nike also released the Community colourway new version at the same time.
It is sold for $150 and is available through Nike and several other selected retailers online and in-store throughout the world. It is available in black colour with a border blue-sand-drift-aura-racer-pink.
How is KD different from the previous version?
This signature shoe of Kevin Durant was first seen during the practice and the media noticed it. Fans were excited for the same and it was dropped in June for everyone.
Taking design cues from the KD 14, the KD 15 adopts a more React Presto approach, replacing the traditional midfoot strap with redesigned hard plastic on the sides.
Full-length Zoom Air and cushion foam are back, and the midsole/outsole design is comparable but a little different, as is the cushioning system. The sneaker’s height also alters, becoming more of a low-top than a mid-top.
The rear heel pull tab and KD’s number “07” are accented in pale red, while the tongue is completely covered in a multi-coloured design. The inside tongue branding and the heel tabs are embroidered with Durant’s nickname “Easy”.
Kevin’s next season with the Nets
There were speculations that Kevin is leaving Brooklyn Nets this off-season and looking for another option. He ended all the talking with his decision a few days ago and is now committed to play one more year with the Nets.
The Nets are not able to win anything with Durant, but this year, with a healthy Kyrie Irving, they are expecting to achieve something this year.
