LeBron James officially has less than 300 points to score to become NBA’s all-time leading point scorer. As we approach the mega event in the coming days, Robert Horry has gone on to make an incredible claim about the 38-year-old veteran.
On one hand, where friends and family of LeBron James want to be in attendance whilst he breaks the record which was deemed an impossible task by the previous generations, not everyone feels the same. Los Angeles Lakers veteran Robert Horry made his feeling quite clear on the latest episode of the Big Shot Bob podcast.
Horry said, “People always say records are made to be broken. That’s bullshit. Everybody say that ain’t got no damn record. You don’t want your record to be broken. You wanna be No. 1 all time in that situation, so, if someone’s about to break my record, you think Imma go sit up in the fucking stands and watch him break my record and be pissed off? No.”
Robert Horry on LeBron James
Despite James recently passing Magic Johnson on the all-time assists ladder last year (James is No. 6, with 10,291; Johnson is No. 7, with 10,141), the scoring record is what everyone is keeping an eye on. The likes of Dwayne Wade have evidently revealed their hype on what this could moment could look like.
But safe to state, Robert Horry is not as excited as everyone else as we approach the mega moment in the first week of February.
