The history of the Houston Rockets
The 1967–68 season saw the Rockets move to San Diego as an expansion franchise, and they remained there until 1971. The team developed its red-based colour design following their relocation to Houston.
The Golden State Warriors, Los Angeles Lakers, and Phoenix Suns are among others who have just announced new City Edition uniforms for the upcoming 2022–2023 season.
The Rockets are going with to old days just like the Lakers with new jerseys. The Rockets are the latest NBA team to do the same.
Elvin Hayes, an NBA Hall-of-Famer, identifies himself as the Rockets’ initial franchise player from 1969 to 1971 where he averaged more than 28 points per game along with crazy 17 rebounds per game.
Calvin Murphy, Pat Riley, and Rudy Tomjanovich are three other well-known players who played for the Rockets in San Diego.
Rockets upcoming season
Houston Rockets will start their season on October 19. Dennis Schroder, Jae’sean Tate, Eric Gordon, Jalen Green, and Alperen Sengun are probably the five Rockets starters this upcoming season. After James Harden’s departure team needs to add some pieces to compete in the highly competitive western conference.
Before leaving for the Nets, even Harden’s presence in the team came up short and couldn’t win a championship. The Rockets are struggling for the past few seasons and looking to add some star players to qualify for playoffs.
