Nina Westbrook, the wife of Russell Westbrook was quick to react to trade rumors regarding the exit of her husband from the Lakers.
There have been consistent rumors regarding a possible trade of Russell Westbrook from the Los Angeles Lakers. He came to LA with high expectations last season, but so far he hasn’t been able to perform well for the team.
As a result, fans of the Lakers are desperate for Westbrook to leave so that they can contend again for the championship.
There are many fake pages on Twitter that generate fake news and quotes, and people are getting tricked by them on a regular basis. It happened once again, and that post said, “REPORT: Russell Westbrook has formally requested a trade from the Los Angeles Lakers.”
It was an absurd lie, and Westbrook’s wife Nina Westbrook came to highlight the truth. She said, “This is a lie. Stop spreading lies. Thank you.“ Nina shut down all the fake rumors regarding the exit of her husband from the Lakers.
With Kyrie Irving opting in on the last year of his contract with the Brooklyn Nets, everything is signaling toward Westbrook staying with the Lakers. Even though it was not the first priority of the Lakers, Rus is likely to be their point guard again next season.
Rus would be determined to run it back and prove all his doubters wrong, as he had a terrible season last year. The Lakers fans have mixed feelings towards it, but they would also love to see Westbrook perform as he did prior to his move to the Lakers.
