The Sacramento Kings continued their dominance in the summer league and registered their third straight win of the season. They defeated the strong Los Angeles Lakers and came up with a huge win that was quite close till the end.
The Kings were the Summer League champions last season. So far they are showing that they have a great chance of repeating as champs again. Their team is playing quite well, and getting a win over the high-flying Lakers was a strong testimony of that.
Keegan Murray, the 4th overall draft pick, was once again the star of the night for the Sacramento Kings. He is proving everyone wrong and is showing why the Kings drafted him instead of Jaden Ivey. He is looking ready for the NBA, and an exciting rookie season awaits him.
Keegan Murray had 26 points and eight rebounds on 10-of-14 shooting from the field and 4-of-5 from 3-point range, in the first game of the summer league, and he continued his form against the Lakers as well.
Murray dropped 24 points, and also had 7 rebounds along with 3 steals and a block against the Lakers. It was a great overall game for the rookie, and he is continuously building confidence while getting better, which is a great sign for the Sacramento Kings.
