Shannon Sharpe and Skip Bayless both agreed that LeBron James could call his time on his playing career in the NBA if this particular opportunity rises.

LeBron James

LeBron James is widely regarded as one of the best players in the world, while some would even include him in the conversation for one of the best players to ever step on a basketball court. James has developed his incredible reputation courtesy of an astonishing career over two decades that has seen him win four NBA Championships, and four MVPs awards. However, despite winning everything one might win in the NBA, LeBron is yet to call curtains on his NBA career.

When LeBron will call it a day on his playing career is a common point of discussion, and it came up once again in an episode of Skip and Shannon: Undisputed – where both analysts agreed on when they think LeBron might call it a day.

In the latest episode of the talk show Skip and Shannon: Undisputed, Shannon Sharpe and Skip Bayless came to an agreement regarding when they think LeBron might hang up his boots. The pair of analysts agreed LeBron will be retiring once he gets a particular opportunity.

When did Skip and Shannon agree LeBron will hang his boots up?

According to Skip and Shannon, LeBron will hang his boots up when he owns an NBA franchise.

LeBron has been rumoured to have intentions to own an NBA franchise for many years now. The Los Angeles Lakers superstar finally confirmed his intentions recently, when he addressed NBA commissioner Adam Silver directly and said that he wants to own the team in Las Vegas – a team that will probably be formed as part of the latest NBA extension draft that will add 2 teams.

The pair believe LeBron will hang up his boots once the conflict of playing or owning an NBA franchises arises, and also cited the instance of Michael Jordan giving up on his playing career once he owned the Washington Wizards.

So when Shannon said “I believe he would be ready to give up playing when he owns the Las Vegas franchise”, Skip agreed with him.
