LeBron James and his Los Angeles Lakers are just a couple of wins away from the 5th seed in the Western Conference. Having found the right combination and momentum, the Purple and Gold side seems to be amongst the most improved teams in the NBA. However, there was a rising misconception that the King wants the front office to make quick changes to fill in all the voids even if it comes at a cost.
While LeBron only urged the Los Angeles Lakers’ top-tier to be more aggressive in acquiring future assets, Shannon Sharpe came forward in the latest episode of Undisputed to bury all claims suggesting that the 38-year-old wants only quick fixes in this franchise.
Sharpe said, “We know how LeBron James feels. He wants a move that says, “OK, (general manager) Rob (Pelinka), OK, (owner) Jeanie (Buss), y’all serious about winning a championship?”
Sharpe stated how LeBron wants the Lakers to make moves but not at the cost f spoiling future plans. As the Lakers have won 6 of their last 7 games before heading into the contest against the Denver Nuggets, Sharpe feels it is about time that the owner and general manager of the 17-time NBA-winning franchise take matters seriously.
That being said, the Lakers are going to be extremely shorthanded in their upcoming road game against the Nuggets as LeBron too has been sidelined due to left knee soreness. Will the Lakers pull off an unlikely win in their marquee scorer’s absence? Remains to be seen.
