LeBron James is regarded as one of the best players of all time in NBA history, but the Los Angeles Lakers superstar is often not considered as the outright greatest player of all time.
That is exactly what Shannon Sharpe said about James when he provided an argument for his answer, when asked about the most disrespected player of all time.
The renowned NBA analyst vouched for LeBron’s talent and blamed “the man above” for him not being respected enough.
On a recent episode of Undisputed: Skip and Shannon, Shannon Sharpe mentioned LeBron as his answer for the most disrespected player of all time.
Upon being met with looks of disagreement from Skip Bayless alongside him, Sharpe went on to explain his answer – as to why he thinks someone as acclaimed worldwide as King James is the most disrespected player in NBA history.
What did Sharpe have to say about his reason for calling Bron the most disrespected player of all time?
Sharpe elaborated that while there is a lot of people who like LeBron, there are a lot of people who dislike the four-time NBA champion and the four-time MVP as well.
When Skip Bayless went on a rant about the epic failures in LeBron’s career in order to downplay Sharpe’s argument, Sharpe came to LeBron’s defense as he cited the instances where all-time greats like Michael Jordan and Kobe Bryant also failed in incredulous fashion.
The discussion soon morphed into a Jordan versus James debate from a debate regarding the most disrespected player of all time, to which Shannon said LeBron is the most disrespected player of all time because he gets compared to other greats no matter what he does.
Ultimately, Sharpe came up with an incredible reply when Bayless kept questioning LeBron’s credentials – the analyst said it is not LeBron’s fault that he gets compared to everyone, but God’s fault for blessing him with the out-of-the-world talent that King James has.
“Actually it’s the man above fault. He blessed him with all this talent.”
