Shannon Sharpe, Tee Morant and Steven Adams got involved in a wild flare-up at the game between the Los Angeles Lakers and the Memphis Grizzlies on Friday night.

The Los Angeles Lakers went up against the Memphis Grizzlies on Friday night at the Crypto.com Arena in Los Angeles. It was the Lakers who came out on top with a narrow 121-120 win over the Grizzlies and continued their resurgence, however, it was a courtside altercation between Shannon Sharpe and the Grizzlies players that took up the lion’s share of the headlines.

When the two teams went in at halftime at the Crypto.com Arena, Sharpe got into quite an ugly altercation with the Grizzlies players. It was seen that Sharpe initially had a few words with Ja Morant, and then Steven Adams walked over in front of Morant. Tee Morant and Shannon Sharpe then had a few words before Sharpe was escorted off the floor by authorities.

Sharpe was soon escorted out of the building after Steven Adams, Ja and Tee Morant all went after the football Hall of Famer. It was a bizarre scene as Grizz security and referees were separating the Grizzlies and Sharpe – and the video of the altercation went viral in no time.

What followed the Shannon Sharpe altercation at halftime?

Despite being escorted out of the building at half-time, Sharpe returned to his seat to watch the second half unfold.

It was reported that Sharpe returned to his seat for the second half. It was eventually found out that the ruckus started with the Grizzlies’ Dillon Brooks and Sharpe having words. Then Ja got involved and the others followed. Brooks and Sharpe continued with the altercation to the point that the referee Zach Zarba had to warn the football Hall of Famer that he will throw him out.

Despite getting involved in the altercation, Sharpe could say he had a fruitful night as his favourite Lakers ended up winning 121-120, courtesy of a Russell Westbrook 29-point performance that made sure that the Lakers recorded a narrow win before the final buzzer.
