Shaq O’Neal has shared his opinion that he believes that former Los Angeles Laker and NBA champion Dwight Howard is not worthy of being in the NBA Hall of Fame.

Shaquille O’Neal is often considered one of the greatest basketball players of all time, as well as one of the best centers to ever play the game. While in his prime, Shaq was known for his unique and deadly combination of size, speed and strength that made him one of the toughest players in the NBA to go up against, he has been known for his strong opinions following his retirement.

Shaq and Howard in action together

It turns out that Shaq’s most recent opinion that has gone viral on social media is his thoughts on former Los Angeles Laker and NBA champion Dwight Howard. Howard enjoyed a long career in the NBA following which he made a move to the Taiwanese basketball league, where despite a strong start – he was recently seen to be neutralized by former NBA professional Sim Bhullar.

Bhullar who has only had three appearances in the NBA has been plying his trade in Taiwan, and came up against Howard of late and seemed to do a good job of containing him. The viral clip of the two facing off had a comment that read “Tbh idk if Howard deserves hof or not” – and Shaq agreed with the take as he wrote: “U right” – opening another chapter of his beef with Howard.

What has been Shaq’s beef with Dwight Howard so far?

Shaq has seemed to enjoy beef with Dwight Howard since the latter joined the Taiwanese T1 League.

Dwight Howard in action for the Lakers

It was when Howard started his stint in Taiwan with a bang, that the Los Angeles Lakers legend said: “He’s supposed to have 30 points playing against dudes 5’8”.” Shaq also added: “This league reminds me of the Life Time Fitness league every Saturday when I go work out on Saturday” about Howard playing in the Taiwanese basketball league.

It would be fair to say that Howard did not take too lightly to Shaquille O’Neal’s comments. The 2020 NBA champion called Shaq “too old to be a hater” – and it would be interesting to see if Howard responds to Shaq’s claims of Howard not being worthy of being in the NBA Hall of Fame.
