Shaq reveals about with whom he wants to go off against for AEW
Making his in-ring debut with the promotion in 2021, NBA icon Shaq O’Neal has proposed an intriguing match for his comeback in the AEW. During the Andre The Giant Memorial Battle Royal, O’Neal entered the ring for the very first time at WWE WrestleMania 32 in 2016, hinting for a match with ‘Big Show’ Paul Wight.
The Shaq vs. Paul White giants battle has not yet taken place, and Shaq has only made one previous appearance in the ring, partnering with Jade Cargill to beat Cody Rhodes & Red Velvet on the March 3, 2021, Dynamite episode.
In a new video featuring Shaq, Diamond Sheik flaunts a diamond “Billion Dollar Belt.” Shaq offered a fascinating challenge at the end of the clip, asking Diamond Sheik and himself to take against Wight and “anyone else you want.”
How is Shaq associated with AEW?
“Big Diesel” is reportedly willing to return to the ring for Tony Khan, but only if he can bring his friend Diamond Sheik — who you may remember from his time serving as Kayla Rossi’s manager after Joey Janela left — as his tag team partner against Big Show. Shaq O’Neal hasn’t been seen in AEW since, with his final act of being loaded into an ambulance before vanishing into the night.
After making a few fake punches, which looked even more absurd given “Big Diesel” was rocking a B-52s shirt, O’Neal declared his intention to compete in the AEW. O’Neal declared, “And Cody or whoever want it, Big Show…Matter of fact, I’ll tell you what: Diamond Sheik and Shaq versus Big Show (Paul Wight) and whoever else you want.”
Fortunately, Wight said that he would also like to challenge the “Man of Steel” after watching O’Neal’s battle with Rhodes, Cargill, and Velvet.
