Shaq was seen wishing Jamie Foxx’s mother a happy birthday at a restaurant
On Monday night, Jamie Foxx celebrated his mother’s 80th birthday with a sumptuous dinner party at a restaurant, named Miami steakhouse Prime 112, where Shaq was also seen dining.
Rumor has it that the “Ray” star hosted a 20-person “epic” and “amazing” birthday dinner for his mother Louise Annette Talley Dixon in the restaurant’s semi-private wine room. “The table was constantly being refilled with champagne, steak, shrimp, and desserts. Everyone left full, and the sweets were served in a grand display while everyone sang “Happy Birthday,” as per a source has reported.
The party ate a variety of treats, including fried Oreos, three other kinds of big cakes, and a peanut butter Snickers pie, all of which had candles for the birthday of the special guest. While having separate meals at the trendy restaurant, Fat Joe and Shaquille O’Neal stopped over to give Foxx’s mother a hearty birthday hug.
Foxx, 55, subsequently revealed on Instagram that for his mother’s significant birthday, he gave her a big gold and silver Rolex watch. The “Django Unchained” actor shared a video of his mother dancing to the song “Rolex” by Ayo & Teo while donning the expensive watch.
Many of Foxx’s friends and admirers flocked to the comments section to laud over the lovely birthday gift. Foxx and his mother, who celebrated her 80th birthday on New Year’s Day, had a tumultuous relationship.
The “Unpredictable” singer’s mother abandoned him soon after his birth, while his now-deceased grandparents Estelle Marie Nelson and Mark Talley adopted and brought him up. Foxx subsequently located his mother and got in touch with her, as reported by the Daily Mail, in 2000. The Grammy winner also disclosed that his mother and father, Darrell Bishop, who were divorced, now share a home with him.
