NBA Hall of Famer Shaquille O’Neal set NBA Twitter on fire with his most recent tweet.
Shaquille O’Neal is widely regarded as one of the best players to ever step on a basketball court. The NBA Hall of Famer is a four-time champion as well as a former MVP, and a 15-time NBA All-Star all at the same time – and is his prime, was one of the most dangerous players to go up against courtesy of his incredibly unique physical combination of strength, speed and size.
Other than his unbelievable profile on the court, Shaq is also commonly known as one of the most known personalities off it – being the face of quite a few endorsement campaigns since his retirement in 2011. Shaq certainly knows how to keep himself relevant, and he has done so thanks to his analysis on NBA on TNT as well as the incredible basketball takes that he puts out.
One of his recent takes that he put out has set NBA Twitter on fire. Shaq’s most recent tweet featured a comparison that puts a few of the greatest duos in NBA history against each other, where Shaq and Kobe Bryant is seen to be competing with Steph Curry and Klay Thompson, Michael Jordan and Scotty Pippen, Magic Johnson and Kareem Abdul-Jabbar and Robert Joseph Cousy and Bill Russell.
What did the fans have to say about the tweet?
It would be fair to say that the replies to the tweet were not as Shaq might have expected them to be.
Many of the replies to the tweet suggested that instead of Shaq and Kobe who won three Championships together, the greatest duo in NBA history were someone else. While some fans suggested Jordan and Pippen of the ‘90s Bulls, some also referred to Magic and Abdul-Jabbar while some of the newer fans chose the Splash brothers of the Warriors over everyone else.
Regardless of what fans think was the greatest duo in NBA history, all of the names as mentioned as certainly going down as bona fide legends with a legacy in the competition.
