The latest big personality to be influenced by the Golden State Warriors superstar is Sierra Leone minister David Moinina Sengeh.

David Moinina Sengeh, who is the Minister of Basic and Senior Secondary Education and Chief Innovation Officer for the Directorate of Science, Technology, and Innovation in Sierra Leone, became the latest personality to be influenced by the American basketball superstar.

So when Sengeh posted a picture of himself doing Curry’s signature “night-night” celebration, he felt like he needed to explain himself. The education minister took to Twitter to post the picture of himself emulating Curry with a caption that explained him imitating the global phenomenon’s iconic celebration move.

The hilarious caption accompanying the picture said: “I mean, did I think I’ll be doing Steph Curry’s #NightNight in my office as Minister of Education?” But it turns out that Sengeh was coaxed to do so by a young Curry fan. “Definitely not before Jalil (5yrs) decided we all must after he & his family dropped me letters on how we can work together on #TransformingEducation in Sierra Leone.”

When five-year-old Jalil asked Sengeh to do the signature Curry move at an event for the betterment of transforming education in Sierra Leone, the prospect of taking part in what is an iconic celebration move by now was too much to turn down for Sengeh.

What is the story behind the ‘Night-Night’ celebration?

The night-night celebration is one of the most viral celebrations in basketball at the moment, and the story behind it is intriguing as well.
