Famous Sports Analyst Skip Bayless believes that Kevin Durant is stuck with the Brooklyn Nets because of the high asking price of him.
The trade talks for Kevin Durant have stalled completely. The Brooklyn Nets are asking too much in the long run, and other teams are now playing the waiting game. Due to this, a trade looks far away.
Durant definitely wants to leave the Nets, and it does not look like he will suit up for them this season. It’s still a long way to go for the season to start, which is why KD is not in a hurry.
Famous Sports Analyst Skip Bayless believes that Kevin Durant is stuck with the Brooklyn Nets because of the high asking price of him. He believes the Nets are intentionally asking for a lot so that KD doesn’t leave them.
He said, “I’ve told you when we discussed the KD Brooklyn situation it feels to me like effectively they’re just patting Kevin on the head and saying we’re trying we’re trying hard but they’re not really trying right because the price they’ve set is unreachable unattainable will not happen right because they have Kevin for four more years and they’re just saying we’re going to do this with you and Kyrie here next here hopefully with Ben Simmons joining.”
The Boston Celtics are also interested in getting Kevin Durant
Reports have emerged that the Boston Celtics have shown interest in getting Kevin Durant from the Brooklyn Nets. The trade package was centered around all-star player Jaylen Brown and Derrick White.
The Nets reportedly turned down the offer because they wanted Marcus Smart, the DPOY, to be a part of the deal. The news of these rumors of a trade for Durant startled the Celtics supporters.
The majority of Celtics supporters believe that Boston is developing into a special place and do not want the team to trade Jaylen Brown. It will be interesting to see if the Celtics really want to get KD.
Jayson Tatum also talked about the situation and said, “I don’t make anything of it, I just play basketball.” He also talked about how he sees Durant as a player, and said, “I’ve played with him during the Olympics. He’s a great player. That’s not my decision. I love our team, love the guys that we got. I don’t know if that report is true or not.”
He added, “We got two new pieces. I love our team, I just go out there and play with my teammates. I don’t put that hat on to make a decision.”
Will KD be a good fit for the Celtics, if he ends up there?
It is quite clear that Kevin Durant wants to play for a championship team. The Celtics, who recently won the NBA Finals, are in a strong position to claim the championship. They might be the best team in the NBA if KD joins them.
The fact that Kevin Durant switched from the OKC to the Warriors in 2016 has already earned him a bad reputation. If he joins Boston, the team that swept him in the playoffs, they will likely be considerably harder on him.
No matter where KD goes, he will be despised by people. He might profit from moving to Boston as a result. Tatum and Durant together can easily win the title since they will eventually be the favorites. It will be interesting to see whether or not this deal goes through.
