“Just faced LeBron’s worst nightmare” – Skip Bayless explains Kevin Durant’s troubles in last second loss to Mavericks

Skip Bayless explained Kevin Durant’s troubles in the Brooklyn Nets’ last-second loss to the Dallas Mavericks on Monday night.

The Brooklyn Nets went down in a last-second defeat to the Dallas Mavericks in their most recent NBA encounter. While an incredible Luka Doncic performance helped the Mavericks to a narrow 96-94 win at the American Airlines Center in Dallas on Monday, Kevin Durant – who has been in great form since the start of the season – had the chance to win the game for the Nets.

In a game that went right down to the wire, both the Mavericks and Nets won two quarters each and the result was hanging right in the balance until the final buzzer went. However, the Nets thought they would be in the ascendancy when they were handed a couple of free throws while trailing by two points with seconds to go. Yet, it was not to happen for the Nets on Monday night.

As Kevin Durant stepped up to the mark, he had a record of 62 consecutive free throws made on the line. However, as fate would have it, Durant missed the attempt with the chance to draw level in the game – the Nets failed to do so and went down in a 96-94 game. Following the game, Skip Bayless spoke about Durant’s troubles and compared him to – you guessed it, LeBron James.

What did Skip Bayless have to say about Kevin Durant’s troubles in the game?

The NBA analyst spoke about Durant’s free throw trouble, but also brought in a certain LeBron James to hit the nail home further in his analogy.

Following the game, Bayless took to his official Twitter account to write his thoughts on the game. The NBA analyst wrote: “KD just faced LeBron’s worst nightmare – having to make all 3 free throws to force overtime. He made the 1st – HIS 62ND STRAIGHT MADE FREE THROW. But he lipped out the 2nd – nightmare! – forcing him to miss the 3rd on purpose.”
