NBA analyst Skip Bayless just will not give LeBron James a break even after the Los Angeles Lakers superstar broke the all-time NBA scoring record.

LeBron James is widely regarded as one of the best players to ever step foot on a basketball court. The Los Angeles Lakers superstar is currently in his 20th season in the NBA and boasts a career that any rookie would dream to have, having won four NBA Championships, four regular season MVPs and having shattered a number of records – though one eluded him all the way.

LeBron James after breaking the NBA all time scoring record on Tuesday

So when the Oklahoma City Thunder travelled to face the Los Angeles Lakers on Tuesday, all eyes were on LeBron James – who started the game only 36 points off Kareem Abdul-Jabbar’s record points tally. It was in the final seconds of the third quarter when LeBron hit the Thunder with a fadeaway jumper for two points, and became the highest scorer in NBA history.

While the Lakers failed to make the occasion an even better one by securing a much-needed win, celebrations ensued at the final buzzer as the congratulations kept flowing in for the history maker of the night. The legendary LeBron James created history in his own right, and strengthened his argument even further in the discussion for the greatest player of all time. However, Skip Bayless does not think that LeBron is quite the undisputed greatest to ever play the sport – as he gave his thoughts on the greatest of all time argument.

What did Skip Bayless have to say about LeBron James being the greatest of all time?

Skip Bayless, an NBA analyst and a notorious detractor of LeBron James did not quite agree with his ‘greatest of all time’ tag.

LeBron James and Michael Jordan
In an earlier tweet, Bayless said Michael Jordan is the “runaway GOAT”

While Bayless took to his official Twitter account moments after the game to claim that it was Michael Jordan – not LeBron James – who is the “runaway GOAT” in the history of basketball, he made yet another tweet following the game to give his thoughts on LeBron being the greatest.

Writing on his official Twitter account, Bayless wrote: “Deep down, LeBron James knows who the true GOAT is”, and the tweet instantly went viral on social media.
