Skip Bayless was left ‘amazed’ as future Los Angeles Lakers ‘Hall of Famers’ LeBron James, Anthony Davis and Russell Westbrook lost to the Los Angeles Clippers.
The Los Angeles Lakers suffered their most recent loss of the season against the Los Angeles Clippers on Wednesday night. The Clippers came out winners by 114-101 in the clash between the two franchises hailing from Los Angeles at the Crypto.com Arena, and piled further misery on what has been a season to forget for the superstars in the ranks of the Lakers franchise.
LeBron James, Anthony Davis and Russell Westbrook have all had underwhelming seasons for the Lakers so far. The trio on whom the Lakers fans banked to get them back into the Playoffs this season have not been influential in the slightest, and despite their decent numbers this season – the Lakers currently sit in a disastrous position with an unwanted 2-9 record on their books.
With the latest defeat making it four losses in a row for the Lakers, the scrutiny is rightfully on the big three as they have consistently failed to help break the Lakers out of the rot they’re in at the moment. It came as no surprise when Skip Bayless criticized the trio of James, Davis and Westbrook following the defeat, and called them out for their lack of impact on the court.
What did Skip Bayless have to say about LeBron James and co’s impact on the Los Angeles Lakers?
The NBA analyst ripped into the trio’s performances this season, and called them out for their lack of impact on the court despite decent individual displays.
Writing on his official Twitter account following the game, Bayless wrote: “It just amazes me that 3 future Laker Hall of Famers – LeBron James, Anthony Davis, Russell Westbrook – all have their hot stretches and put up pretty good numbers … and it has little to no impact on the scoreboard. LeBron is now a game-worst -17.”
The NBA analyst – often criticized for his comments against the likes of LeBron James and Russell Westbrook – might have a point indeed, as, despite some decent numbers from the big three, the Lakers continue to fail as a team as their struggles remain with every game.
