Skip Bayless reprimands Joel Embiid on making comments about the media hating him.

Joel Embiid has had a fabulous season so far for the Philadelphia 76ers where he has looked like the best player in the league many times through the course of the season. He is among the frontrunners for the MVP Award alongside Nikola Jokic and Giannis but things are looking like shifting towards the Serbian who plays for the Denver Nuggets as he is on his way to successive MVP awards.

Joel Embiid knows that he is falling behind in the MVP rankings as he talked about the MVP race and said, “I don’t know what I have to do. I’ll feel like they hate me. I feel like the standard for guys in Philly or for me is different than everyone else.”, as he thinks the Media doesn’t want him to be the MVP of this league.

These comments by Joel could have implications on the voting by the voters and he is most likely to not be crowned as the MVP this year, as these type of tantrums thrown by players is not treated well among the media personnel.

Skip knows that Embiid’s comments will further make the voters around the media not vote for him because they love him due to his personality and gameplay on the court but he cannot take a dig at them and still expect to be crowned as the MVP of the league.

As of now, Denver’s Nikola Jokic is the frontrunner for the MVP award, and it is highly likely that he is going to win it again this season.
