“Just killed the Lakers. Almost as damaging as Westbrick” – Skip Bayless wants LeBron James to work on this stat where The King ranked 93rd last season

LeBron James is undoubtedly one of the best players in the game right now, and some would say he is even one of the greatest to ever step on a basketball court.

The Los Angeles Lakers superstar has his own detractors, the most famous of them being reputed NBA analyst Skip Bayless who has recently not shied away from taking shots at King James at any chance he gets.

Bayless’ most recent shot at James came as a tweet that he made in order to critic LeBron’s three point shooting.

Bayless tweeted: “I keep hearing LeBron is “in the lab.” He’d better be working on 3-point shooting. He took the 15th most in the NBA last season, ranked only 93rd in 3-pt%. Just killed the Lakers. Almost as damaging as Westbrick.”

The “damaging” stat highlights the fact that LeBron’s shooting from outside the arc was not at its best last season, as he attempted the 15th most three pointers last season but could only rank 93rd for three point shooting percentage.

Bayless used this stat to prove his argument that in his opinion, if LeBron is “in the lab” indeed, he should work on his three point shooting.

What did Bayless add to make the comment more condescending?

Bayless added more to his tweet to worsen his criticism of James.

In fact, in order to worsen the wound, Bayless compared the situation to Russell Westbrook by saying “Just killed the Lakers. Almost as bad as Westbrick.”

Westbrook had an underwhelming season at the Lakers last season by his high standards, and comparing LeBron to one of the most disappointing players last season really worsened the wound – if it wasn’t deep enough already.

Bayless’ rants about Westbrook calling him “Westbrick” already caused plenty of ripples on social media, and dragging LeBron into the fray this time made sure that his tweet went viral in no time.
