Steph Curry’s dedicated following just has had another high-profile addition as NBA legend Shaquille O’Neal recently shared his admiration for the Golden State Warriors superstar by calling him the best in the world.
Steph Curry’s reputation as one of the best players in the world took another hike when one of the best centers to ever play in the NBA vouched for him as the best player in the league – a baller with a fairytale story.
When talking about the Western Conference in the upcoming season on The Big Podcast, Kenny Smith said that this could be one of the best Western Conferences that the NBA has ever had if Kawhi Leonard and Anthony Davis stay healthy along with the Phoenix Suns and the Dallas Mavericks.
But to Smith’s surprise, Shaq did not look like he particularly agreed with Smith as he kept gesturing his disapproval.
When asked if he does not like the West, Shaq said he does but in his opinion, nobody is going to beat the best player in the world Steph Curry.
WHAT DID SHAQ HAVE TO SAY ABOUT CURRY?
When asked if Steph Curry is indeed the best in the world, Shaq stood by his statement and even said that he is by far the best.
The four-time NBA champion is no stranger to winning championships, and he said that the championships they have recognize the real ones.
Shaq added that he thinks nobody plays better than Steph Curry: as the Golden State Warriors man is a tough shot-taker and a tough shot-maker.
Shaq added he likes where Curry brought his career also professing his love for “Rocky-type stories” while citing the instance of Curry who was not highly recruited.
Shaq quoted: “Steph wasn’t highly recruited, so to be able to work that hard and become the best shooter, and one of the best players in the league – he gets my props for that. I love that kid.”
